Railfan Virginia is made by railfans, for railfans.
Do you have photographs or audio from around Virginia? Could it be useful as a resource
to railfans looking to explore Virginia?
I welcome submissions to the Railfan Virginia collection which serve to illustrate and educate site viewers about rail operations statewide.
If you would like to submit material for consideration, please read the following notes in order to properly prepare your media.
Please read before you submit:
My educational background spans from art to digital media, and I prefer artistic and well-composed images. I take composition
and aesthetic values into consideration - roster shots are not appropriate submissions; images which show surroundings, are.
I ask that you understand in advance that while all submissions are welcome, not all will be useable. My criteria simply relies on
striving to provide quality material. On the other hand, I understand that railroads do not cease operations for inclement weather, and I take
that into considersation. I do prefer well-lit photographs, but realize that certain locatons never see 'proper'
lighting.
All accepted material will retain a copyright for the author, as well as one for use on this website.
